1. Definitions and Interpretation
For the purposes of this Policy, the following terms shall have the meanings ascribed to them below. Where the context requires, words in the singular shall include the plural and vice versa, and references to a gender shall include all genders.
- "Prepflix," "we," "us," or "our" refers to Prepflix, the educational technology platform accessible at www.prepflix.co.in, and its authorised representatives, employees, agents, and affiliates.
- "Learner," "you," or "your" refers to any individual who has enrolled in a Prepflix program and made a payment, whether in full or in part, for the purpose of availing educational or mentorship services offered by Prepflix.
- "Program" means any course, career accelerator, mentorship package, module, batch, or educational offering made available by Prepflix, including but not limited to the Career Accelerator Program.
- "Batch Start" or "First Class" means the scheduled date and time of the first mandatory live session, orientation, or onboarding session for the Program batch in which the Learner is enrolled, including any introductory meet-and-greet or welcome call, whichever occurs earliest.
- "Refund Window" means the period commencing from the Batch Start and ending at 23:59:59 IST on the fourteenth (14th) calendar day thereafter. The Refund Window closes automatically upon the expiry of fourteen (14) calendar days from the Batch Start and cannot be extended under any circumstances.
- "Fee" or "Program Fee" means the monetary consideration paid or payable by the Learner directly to Prepflix for enrollment in a Program, excluding any taxes, payment gateway surcharges, loan processing fees, interest charges, or other ancillary costs borne by the Learner to any third party.
- "Refund Request" means a written request submitted by the Learner to Prepflix via email, in accordance with the procedure outlined in Section 4 of this Policy, seeking a full or partial refund of the Fee.
- "KYC" means Know Your Customer documentation, including but not limited to a copy of a government-issued photo identity document and a cancelled cheque leaf or the first page of the Learner's bank passbook, as may be required by Prepflix to verify the Learner's identity and bank account details prior to processing a refund.
- "Business Day" means any day other than a Saturday, Sunday, or public holiday declared by the Government of India or the Reserve Bank of India (RBI) on which commercial banks are open for regular business in India.
- "EMI" or "ECS" means Equated Monthly Instalment or Electronic Clearing Service arrangements entered into by the Learner with a third-party financial institution, non-banking financial company (NBFC), or lending partner, which are independent of and separate from Prepflix's fee arrangements.
2. Scope and Applicability
This Policy applies to all fee-based Programs offered by Prepflix and governs all cancellation and refund requests made in connection with such Programs. This Policy does not apply to:
- Free programs, free trials, free workshops, or complimentary access granted at Prepflix's discretion;
- Payments made by the Learner to any third-party partner, financial institution, or payment aggregator, which shall be governed by the terms and conditions of the respective third party;
- Any goods or physical materials that may be separately provided, which shall be subject to a separate return or exchange policy communicated at the time of purchase.
By enrolling in a Program and making a payment, the Learner represents and warrants that they have the legal capacity to enter into a binding agreement and that they have read, understood, and agreed to this Policy before completing their enrollment.
3. The 14-Day Refund Window
Prepflix provides a time-bound cancellation and refund mechanism to eligible Learners. The Refund Window is strictly fourteen (14) calendar days from the Batch Start of the Program in which the Learner is enrolled.
The Learner must submit a valid and complete Refund Request within this Refund Window in order to be considered for a refund. A Refund Request submitted after the expiry of the Refund Window shall not be entertained under any circumstances, and the Learner shall not be entitled to any monetary refund of the Fee, whether in whole or in part.
Important: The Refund Window begins from the date and time of the Batch Start, not from the date of payment or the date of enrollment confirmation. Learners are solely responsible for tracking this deadline.
For the avoidance of doubt, the Refund Window is calculated in calendar days and not Business Days. Saturdays, Sundays, and public holidays are included in the count. Prepflix shall not be obligated to extend the Refund Window on account of holidays, technical difficulties, communication delays, or any other reason whatsoever.
4. Refund Request Procedure
In order for a Refund Request to be considered valid and eligible for processing, the Learner must adhere strictly to the following procedure:
4.1 Submission Channel
All Refund Requests must be submitted exclusively by email to prepflix.academy@gmail.com. Refund Requests made through any other medium, including but not limited to WhatsApp, telephone calls, social media platforms, or third-party complaint portals, shall not be considered valid for the purposes of this Policy and will not be processed.
4.2 Email Subject Line
The subject line of the email must follow the format below exactly:
Subject: Refund Request – [Program Name] – [Your Full Name]
4.3 Mandatory Information to Include
The Refund Request email must contain all of the following information. Incomplete requests will be returned to the Learner and will not be treated as duly submitted until all required information is furnished:
- Full name of the Learner as registered with Prepflix;
- Registered email address and registered mobile number;
- Payment reference number, UTR (Unique Transaction Reference) number, or transaction ID as provided by the payment gateway or the Learner's bank;
- Name of the enrolled batch or Program;
- Date of Batch Start (as communicated by Prepflix);
- Stated ground for the Refund Request (must fall within the valid grounds enumerated in Section 6 of this Policy); and
- Any supporting documentary evidence relevant to the stated ground for the refund (e.g., proof of duplicate transaction, communication from Prepflix indicating eligibility mismatch or cancellation).
4.4 Acknowledgement
Upon receipt of a Refund Request, Prepflix shall endeavour to send an acknowledgement email to the Learner within five (5) Business Days. Such acknowledgement shall confirm receipt of the request and, if applicable, specify any additional documents or information required. Acknowledgement of receipt does not constitute approval of the refund.
5. Mode, Timeline, and Processing of Refunds
5.1 Mode of Refund
Approved refunds shall be processed exclusively to a domestic Indian bank account held in the name of the Learner via one of the following modes as determined by Prepflix:
- National Electronic Funds Transfer (NEFT);
- Immediate Payment Service (IMPS); or
- Real Time Gross Settlement (RTGS).
Refunds shall not be processed to third-party accounts, international bank accounts, wallets, or payment instruments other than those listed above. Prepflix reserves the right to request KYC documentation, including a cancelled cheque leaf or the first page of the Learner's bank passbook bearing the account holder's name, account number, and IFSC code, prior to processing any refund.
5.2 KYC and Verification
Prepflix reserves the right to carry out such due diligence and verification as it deems necessary prior to approving a refund. The Learner shall cooperate fully with such verification and provide all requested documentation in a timely manner. Failure to provide required KYC documents within the timeframe specified by Prepflix may result in the forfeiture of the refund entitlement.
5.3 Processing Timeline
Subject to the Learner providing all required information and KYC documentation, Prepflix shall endeavour to process approved refunds within thirty (30) calendar days from the date on which all required information and documents are received in full. Prepflix shall not be liable for any delays caused by banking intermediaries, technical failures of payment systems, or any circumstances beyond its reasonable control.
5.4 Access Revocation Upon Refund
Upon approval and processing of a refund, the Learner's access to the enrolled Program — including all live sessions, recorded content, doubt support, community access, mentoring sessions, mock interviews, placement support, and all other related resources and services — shall be immediately and permanently deactivated without any further notice. Prepflix shall bear no obligation to restore such access under any circumstances once a refund has been processed.

6. Valid Grounds for a Refund
A Refund Request submitted within the Refund Window shall only be considered eligible for approval if it falls under one or more of the following exhaustive list of valid grounds. Supporting documentation may be required in connection with each ground, as specified below. Prepflix's determination of whether a ground is validly established shall be final and binding.

Grounds not listed in the table above — including but not limited to dissatisfaction with teaching quality, personal schedule conflicts, change of mind, relocation, health issues, change in financial circumstances, low engagement, or any other personal reason — shall not constitute valid grounds for a refund under this Policy.
7. What Is and Is Not Covered by a Refund
7.1 Amounts Covered
In the event that a Refund Request is approved by Prepflix, the refund shall cover only the Program Fee paid directly to Prepflix for the enrolled batch, subject to the conditions and deductions set out in this Section.
7.2 Amounts Not Covered
The following amounts are expressly excluded from the scope of any refund and shall not be refunded by Prepflix under any circumstances:
- Payment gateway and processing fees: Any fees, convenience charges, or surcharges levied by the payment gateway, bank, or payment aggregator at the time of the original transaction are non-refundable by Prepflix, as such amounts are not received by Prepflix.
- Loan processing fees and interest: Any processing fees, pre-payment penalties, interest, or other charges levied by a third-party lender, NBFC, or EMI provider in connection with a loan or instalment arrangement entered into by the Learner to finance the Program Fee.
- Taxes: Goods and Services Tax (GST) or any other statutory tax or levy charged on the Program Fee at the applicable rate, where such taxes are required to be remitted to the government and cannot be recovered by Prepflix.
- Bank charges: Any wire transfer fees, currency conversion fees, or other bank charges incurred by the Learner's bank in connection with the original payment or the refund transaction.
7.3 Program Change or Module Reset
Where a Learner has requested and been granted a change of Program, a transfer to a different batch, or a module reset at any point during their enrollment, the original Refund Window is not re-opened and does not recommence from the date of such change or reset. The Refund Window shall be calculated exclusively from the Batch Start of the Learner's original enrolled batch.
7.4 Non-Usage and Dissatisfaction
Non-utilisation of Program resources, inactivity, low attendance, failure to engage with program content, or general dissatisfaction with the Program's content, teaching methodology, or outcomes shall not, in and of themselves, constitute valid grounds for a refund. Prepflix strongly encourages all Learners to actively participate in at least two (2) sessions and engage with the support team before the expiry of the Refund Window, in order to make an informed assessment of the Program.
8. No Refund After the Refund Window
No refunds shall be permitted or processed after the expiry of the fourteen (14) day Refund Window under any circumstances.
Upon the expiry of the Refund Window, all Fees paid by the Learner shall be deemed fully earned by Prepflix, and the Learner shall no longer be entitled to any refund, whether in whole or in part. The following circumstances, among others, shall not entitle a Learner to a refund after the Refund Window:
- Change in personal or professional schedule, including increased work commitments or unexpected travel;
- Relocation to a different city, state, or country;
- Change of mind or decision to pursue a different career path;
- Dissatisfaction with specific mentors, instructors, or session formats;
- Failure to attempt or pass any internal assessment, mock interview, or placement test;
- Health, medical, or family emergencies occurring after the Refund Window;
- Change in financial circumstances, including job loss or reduction in income;
- Non-receipt of a job offer, placement, or salary hike;
- Disputes arising from subjective expectations regarding outcomes or salary growth.
Learners who are unable to continue their Program after the Refund Window are encouraged to refer to Section 9 of this Policy for the non-monetary operational remedies available to them.
9. Post-Window Operational Remedies (Non-Monetary)
Prepflix is committed to supporting the learning journeys of its Learners beyond the Refund Window. To this end, Prepflix may, at its sole discretion and subject to the conditions set out in this Section, provide certain operational remedies to Learners who are unable to actively participate in their enrolled Program after the expiry of the Refund Window. These remedies are provided as a goodwill gesture and do not constitute any admission of liability, obligation to refund, or concession on the part of Prepflix.
9.1 Pause
A Learner may request to temporarily pause their active participation in the Program. During the pause period, the Learner may retain access to recordings of past sessions and doubt support, subject to the specific entitlements communicated by Prepflix for the relevant Program. The availability, maximum duration, and conditions of the Pause remedy vary by Program and are subject to administrative limits. Not all Programs offer the Pause option.
9.2 Reset
A Learner may request to redo or revisit one or more recent modules, or to revert to an earlier module in the Program curriculum, in order to reinforce understanding or catch up on missed content. The Reset remedy is subject to availability of the relevant module in the current or upcoming batch schedule and is at Prepflix's discretion.
9.3 Batch Transfer
A Learner may request a transfer to a different upcoming batch in which the same module or stage of the Program is being delivered, subject to seat availability in the target batch and the Learner meeting any eligibility criteria for that batch. Batch Transfer requests must be submitted in writing to Prepflix support and are subject to approval.
9.4 Conditions and Limitations
The post-window remedies described in this Section are subject to the following conditions and limitations:
- All remedies are subject to Prepflix's eligibility criteria, operational capacity, and administrative limits, which may change from time to time;
- Remedies are not guaranteed and may not be available for all Programs or at all times;
- These remedies are strictly non-monetary in nature and do not create any right to a cash refund, credit note, or monetary compensation of any kind;
- Availing of any post-window remedy does not extend or re-open the Refund Window;
- Prepflix reserves the right to refuse post-window remedies in cases of repeated requests, abuse of the remedy mechanism, or where the Learner's conduct has been in breach of Prepflix's community or platform guidelines.
10. EMI, ECS, and Third-Party Financing Arrangements
10.1 Learner's Responsibility
Where a Learner has elected to finance the Program Fee through an Equated Monthly Instalment (EMI) arrangement, an Electronic Clearing Service (ECS) mandate, or any other third-party loan or credit facility offered by a bank, NBFC, or lending partner ("Financing Arrangement"), the Learner acknowledges and agrees that:
- The Financing Arrangement is a separate and independent contractual relationship between the Learner and the relevant third-party financial institution;
- Prepflix is not a party to the Financing Arrangement and has no authority to cancel, modify, suspend, or otherwise interfere with the Learner's obligations under the Financing Arrangement;
- The Learner remains solely and fully responsible for all repayment obligations, EMI instalments, ECS debits, interest charges, and any other amounts due under the Financing Arrangement, irrespective of any decision by Prepflix to approve or reject a refund request;
- Prepflix shall not be liable for any adverse consequences to the Learner arising from the Learner's failure to comply with their obligations under the Financing Arrangement, including any impact on the Learner's credit score or creditworthiness.
10.2 Refund in Cases of Financing
Where a Learner has financed the Program Fee through a Financing Arrangement and a Refund Request is approved by Prepflix within the Refund Window, Prepflix shall refund only the amount actually received by Prepflix in respect of the Program Fee, which may be less than the total amount disbursed by the financial institution to Prepflix (due to processing fees or other deductions). The Learner shall be solely responsible for separately settling, closing, or novating the Financing Arrangement with the relevant third-party financial institution in accordance with that institution's own terms and conditions. Prepflix shall bear no liability for any costs, penalties, or charges incurred by the Learner in connection with the settlement of the Financing Arrangement.
11. Service Delivery, Curriculum Changes, and Platform Availability
Prepflix reserves the right to make changes to the Program curriculum, teaching methodology, session schedules, batch timings, platform features, and the identity of instructors or mentors at any time, in its sole discretion, for educational, operational, or strategic reasons. Such changes are a natural part of maintaining a high-quality and current educational offering.
The following circumstances shall not, in and of themselves, give rise to any right to a refund outside of the Refund Window:
- Updates or modifications to the Program curriculum, including the addition, removal, or reordering of topics or modules;
- Changes to the batch schedule, session timing, or live session frequency;
- Temporary unavailability of the Prepflix platform due to scheduled maintenance, unscheduled technical outages, server downtime, or force majeure events;
- Changes in the identity, qualifications, or availability of individual mentors, teaching assistants, or instructors, provided that qualified replacements are made available;
- Modifications to the features, tools, or resources available on the Prepflix platform;
- Changes in the format of delivery (e.g., from live sessions to pre-recorded sessions, or vice versa) where reasonable notice is given.
Access to recorded sessions, doubt support, community forums, mentoring sessions, mock interviews, resume review services, and placement support are all components of Prepflix's service delivery, and together constitute the Program offering. Temporary disruptions to any one or more of these components, where the overall Program delivery continues, shall not entitle the Learner to a refund.
12. Fraud, Chargebacks, and Misuse
12.1 Prohibition on Chargebacks
Learners are strongly advised to contact Prepflix directly at prepflix.academy@gmail.com before initiating any chargeback or payment dispute with their bank, credit card company, or payment gateway. Initiating a chargeback without first making a good-faith attempt to resolve the matter with Prepflix shall be treated as misuse of the payment dispute mechanism and may be considered fraudulent conduct.
12.2 Consequences of Fraudulent Chargebacks or Misuse
In the event that Prepflix determines, in its reasonable judgment, that a Learner has engaged in fraudulent conduct, misuse of the refund or dispute process, or has initiated an unjustified chargeback, Prepflix reserves the right to exercise one or more of the following remedies:
- Immediate suspension or permanent termination of the Learner's access to the Program and the Prepflix platform;
- Withholding of any certificates, credentials, letters of recommendation, or placement support that may otherwise have been provided upon Program completion;
- Reporting the matter to the relevant payment gateway, bank, or financial institution and providing evidence to contest the chargeback;
- Initiation of legal proceedings to recover the Program Fee and any costs, damages, or losses suffered by Prepflix as a result of the fraudulent conduct or misuse, in accordance with applicable Indian law.
12.3 Reporting Suspected Fraud
If a Learner becomes aware of any unauthorised use of their payment credentials or account, they should immediately notify Prepflix at prepflix.academy@gmail.com and their bank or payment provider. Prepflix shall cooperate with any investigation into such matters to the extent required by applicable law.
13. Contact Information and Grievance Redressal
For all matters relating to cancellations, refunds (within the 14-day Refund Window), post-window operational remedies, or any other query or grievance arising in connection with this Policy, Learners may contact Prepflix using the details set out below.
Prepflix endeavours to acknowledge all genuine grievances within five (5) Business Days and to resolve them within thirty (30) calendar days of receipt of complete information, in accordance with the timelines prescribed by the Consumer Protection Act, 2019 and the Consumer Protection (E-Commerce) Rules, 2020, as applicable.

14. Governing Law and Jurisdiction
This Policy, and any dispute, claim, or controversy arising out of or in connection with this Policy, including any question regarding its existence, validity, interpretation, performance, breach, or termination, shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Republic of India, without regard to its conflict of law principles.
Subject to applicable law, the courts of competent jurisdiction at the place of Prepflix's principal place of business shall have exclusive jurisdiction to settle any dispute or claim arising out of or in connection with this Policy. By accepting this Policy, the Learner irrevocably submits to the exclusive jurisdiction of such courts and waives any objection to the laying of venue in such courts on grounds of inconvenience or otherwise.
Nothing in this Section shall preclude either party from seeking urgent interim or injunctive relief from a court of competent jurisdiction where such relief is necessary to prevent imminent harm.
15. Amendments to This Policy
Prepflix reserves the right to amend, update, or replace this Policy at any time, in its sole discretion. Any amendments shall be effective immediately upon posting the updated Policy on the Prepflix website at www.prepflix.co.in/refund, unless a different effective date is expressly stated in the updated Policy.
Prepflix may, but is not obligated to, notify Learners of material changes to this Policy via email to the registered email address on file. The Learner is responsible for regularly reviewing this Policy to stay informed of any changes. The Learner's continued enrollment in any Program, or continued use of the Prepflix platform, following the posting of an updated Policy shall constitute the Learner's unconditional acceptance of the amended Policy. If a Learner does not agree to the amended Policy, they should contact Prepflix immediately in accordance with Section 13.
16. Severability and Waiver
16.1 Severability
If any provision of this Policy is found by a court or other authority of competent jurisdiction to be invalid, unlawful, void, or unenforceable to any extent, such provision shall be deemed severed from this Policy to that extent. The validity, legality, and enforceability of the remaining provisions of this Policy shall not be affected or impaired, and such remaining provisions shall continue to be valid and enforceable to the fullest extent permitted by law.
16.2 Waiver
No failure or delay by Prepflix in exercising any right, power, or remedy under this Policy shall operate as a waiver of such right, power, or remedy. No single or partial exercise of any right, power, or remedy shall preclude any other or further exercise of such right, power, or remedy. Any waiver by Prepflix of any breach of this Policy shall not be deemed a waiver of any subsequent breach of the same or any other provision.
16.3 Entire Agreement
This Policy, together with the Terms and Conditions and the Privacy Policy of Prepflix, constitutes the entire agreement between the Learner and Prepflix with respect to the subject matter hereof, and supersedes all prior or contemporaneous understandings, representations, or agreements, whether oral or written, relating to refunds, cancellations, and fee disputes.
