Online Aptitude Test — 70 min

Quantitative Aptitude (16 Q, 16 min), Verbal English (22 Q, 18 min), Logical Reasoning (14 Q, 14 min), Written Communication (Essay) (1 topic, 20 min, 250-300 words). No negative marking. Sectional cutoffs apply.

2 coding problems. Language options: C, C++, Java, Python, Perl. Easy to medium difficulty (arrays, strings, recursion, sorting). Both test cases partially visible. Wipro does NOT penalize wrong test cases — submit something that compiles for partial credit.

What is the difference between encapsulation and abstraction? Encapsulation: bundling data (fields) and methods that operate on the data into a single unit (class), and restricting direct access via access modifiers (private, public). Hides implementation details. Abstraction: hiding complexity and showing only essential features to the user. Achieved via abstract classes or interfaces. Encapsulation is about data protection; abstraction is about complexity reduction. Example: a Car class (abstraction) has a start() method but hides the engine combustion details (encapsulation).

Write a program to find the second largest element in an array. Single pass: initialize largest = second = Integer.MIN_VALUE. For each element: if element > largest, then second = largest, largest = element. Else if element > second and element != largest, then second = element. O(n) time, O(1) space. Watch for edge case: all elements are equal (second stays MIN_VALUE).
